This area being a new build presented

me with my favourite view – a blank

canvas. After talks with the family it

was decided that we would divide the

garden into three sections though

without rigid demarcation lines.

The area leading off the French doors

is paved using an attractive combination

of circular and rectangular paving. It is

possible to mix and match in this way by

the use off squaring off kits. The edges

of the paving are further softened by

tropical style planting amongst slate

chippings. This in turn leads to the water

feature which came in a kit form and so

was relatively simple installation.
